Goats
We have a nice herd of Nigerian and pygmy cross goats. The Nigerian goats are known for milk, and pygmies are known for meat. We use our goats for both purposes. Our females most always have twins, one having had triplets her past two births. They make excellent moms. Our goats have never shown aggression towards people.
Some goats need a constant diet of commercial feed, whereas these goats like an ample diet of leaves, weeds, and grasses. This makes them desirable for people who like to use them to keep land cleared. They are not a very large breed so they make excellent pets. We love the blue-eyed goats and have started using a blue-eyed billy. We now have several goats with blue eyes.
Most times we have goats for sale. We make sure all babies are at appropriate age and are eating well on their own before they leave our property. Our goats are raised from our personal herd. We feel that we prevent diseases by not purchasing outside goats for resale. To see goats for sale, see our "Farm News" page.
